DNA Fingerprint tries to be compatible to the NIST and ISFG recommendations. However, this isn't always conclusive and other laboratories sometimes interpret the same guidelines in a different way.

The following table lists the arithmetic operation that must be carried out to convert a result from a foreign laboratory to the standard that we use in our results and in our database.

Abbreviations:
+ / - means add / substract following value.
? means that the laboratory or reseller doesn't test this marker or no information is available.
= means that the allele counts are compatible without an arithmetic conversion.
FTDNA -> Family Tree DNA and their Ysearch database.
RG -> Relative Genetics
DNAH -> DNA Heritage including their Ybase database.
SMGF -> Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation database.
OA -> Oxford Ancestors and their yline database

[1] DYS434 differs by 2 repeat counts in the University of Leicester UK surnames project by Turi King. Participants of this study must substract two units from their report.
